COURSE DESCRIPTION:

 

This practical rigging training course provides riggers and operators with a strong foundation in health and safety standards, preventative maintenance for equipment and proper rigging procedures.

This course meets CSA standards and exceeds OH&S requirements.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

​

  • Prepare and sling regular loads

  • Apply knowledge of risk management, hazard control, and rigging planning to slinging regular loads

  • Explain the fundamental properties of different sling types and describe the methods of attachment to use in rigging

  • Upon completion, participants will be able to demonstrate a general knowledge of principles relating to safe hoisting and rigging practices in the construction industry.
